Designed to endure extreme conditions and heavy-duty applications, our carburizingย bearing steel, including our high-temperature variants, offers superior wear resistance and extended fatigue life, making it the perfect choice for advanced manufacturing needs.
Carburizingย bearing steelย is a specially heat-treated material where the surface has a higher carbon content than the core. This process creates a hard, wear-resistant carburizingย layer on the surface while maintaining toughness and strength in the core. This material is ideal for manufacturing bearings that must withstand cyclic high stress. Whether in ultra-high temperatures, low temperatures, or environments with strong vacuum, high impact, severe wear, and ultra-high speed, carburizing bearing steel is engineered to meet demanding operational requirements.
High-Temperature Carburizingย Bearing Steel: For applications involving extreme heat, our high-temperature carburizingย bearing steel maintains excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance even at temperatures as high as 300ยฐC. This makes it indispensable for applications such as automotive turbochargers, aerospace engines, and industrial furnaces.
Our carburizingย bearing steel undergoes a meticulously controlled high-temperature carburization process. The steel is heated above its critical temperature in a protective atmosphere, allowing carbon atoms to diffuse uniformly into the surface layer. Following precise quenching and tempering, the steel’s microstructure is optimized for a perfect balance of hardness and toughness.
Operating Temperature Range
The rings and rolling elements made from our carburizingย bearing steel typically exhibit hardness of HRc60-64, making them suitable for operation in temperatures ranging from -40ยฐC to 140ยฐC with proper lubrication. They can also withstand significant impact and vibration, ideal for use in locomotive and steel mill bearings.
